Questionnaires
Many of the lists that you might want are simply not available in the UK - for example, schools that take a particular exam from one particular exam board, schools that use a certain type of computer, schools that teach a particular foreign language.
One of the simplest ways to get this information is to send out a questionnaire, along with a little bonus for the teacher, as a gift for filling the questionnaire in.
There is a complete review of how questionnaires work, and which processes work particularly well on our theory of direct mail site
However if you wish to go further and ask more than the most simple questions you should note that teacher research in terms of questionnaires and in-depth surveys and focus groups needs to be run by a trained marketing research professional.
Similar work can be undertaken (with the school's permission) with pupils. In all such cases it is vital that the questions are constructed carefully, with a view to the outcomes that are being sought.
Hamilton House has close links with suitably qualified and experienced market researchers who have worked in numerous locations, from schools to universities, considering every aspect of education.
